Common questions

Do I need a Claude subscription?

Yes — cc-connect runs on top of your own Claude Pro ($20/mo) or Claude Max ($100/mo) subscription from Anthropic. This is what gives you unlimited, flat-rate AI usage. We don't resell API credits.

Which platforms are supported?

Telegram, Discord, and Slack. You'll need to create a free bot on your chosen platform — the setup wizard walks you through it step by step with no technical knowledge required.

What happens when I cancel?

Your Hetzner server is deleted immediately when your subscription ends. There are no partial-month refunds, but you won't be charged again after cancellation.

Can I use it for coding tasks?

Yes — cc-connect runs Claude Code, which means your assistant can read and edit files, run shell commands, search the web, and more. You can point it at any project directory.

Is my data private?

Your conversations go directly between your messaging platform and Anthropic's API — we don't log or inspect them. Your server runs in an isolated Hetzner VPS in your chosen region.

Can I change my messaging platform later?

Yes. SSH into your server and edit ~/.cc-connect/config.toml, then restart the service. A dashboard for this is coming soon.
